The admission comes after CNN released a disturbing video of the attack, showing Combs physically assaulting the R&B singer, who was his protege and longtime girlfriend at the time.

In a video apology posted on Instagram and Facebook, Combs expressed deep remorse for his actions, stating, “I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now.” The footage shows Combs wearing only a white towel, punching, kicking, shoving, and dragging his ex-girlfriend, as well as throwing a vase in her direction.

The victim, known as Cassandra Ventura or Cassie, had previously sued Combs in November for years of sexual, physical, and emotional abuse. Despite denying the allegations in the lawsuits, Combs finally addressed the newly emerged video in his apology, stating, “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now.” He also revealed that he sought professional help through therapy and rehab, asking for God’s mercy and grace.
