Director Dharani and Music Director Vidyasagar Bask in Fans’ Adoration as Vijay’s Ghilli Smashes Box Office Records

The blockbuster Tamil film Ghilli, starring Vijay and Trisha, has made a triumphant return to the big screen, smashing box office records and captivating audiences once again. Directed by Dharani and featuring music by Vidyasagar, the film has been re-released after 20 years and is proving to be a massive success.

Ghilli, which hit theaters on April 20, has now entered its second week and shows no signs of slowing down. According to box office tracking website Sacnilk, the film has grossed over 14.50 crores in its first week of re-release and an additional 5.50 crores in its second weekend. With a total gross collection of around 20 crores in just nine days, Ghilli has become the fourth highest-grossing Tamil movie of 2024 domestically, trailing behind only Ayalaan, Captain Miller, and Lal Salaam.

As the film continues to break records at the box office, director Dharani and music director Vidyasagar decided to celebrate with fans by quietly visiting a theater in the city.
