Disney fans are in for a treat as the entertainment giant has unveiled a brand new still from the highly anticipated sequel to the 2016 hit movie ‘Moana.’ The image, shared on X, features an older Moana confidently sailing with an oar in hand, hinting at an exciting new adventure in ‘Moana 2.’

Scheduled to hit theaters this November, ‘Moana 2’ promises to take audiences on an expansive new voyage with Moana, Maui, and a brand-new crew of unlikely seafarers. The sequel will see Moana receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, leading her to journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.

Directed by Dave Derrick Jr., ‘Moana 2’ will feature music from Abigail Barlow, Emily Bear, Opetaia Foa’i, and Mark Mancina, who collaborated on the original film. However, fans may be disappointed to learn that Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator of the iconic songs from the first movie, is not likely to return with fresh material for the sequel.
