Residents living in the picturesque village of Bibury in the Cotswolds are calling for change after a chaotic weekend filled with traffic, parking, and litter issues caused by an influx of tourists. The situation reached a breaking point over the Spring Bank Holiday at the end of May, with frustrated locals taking to social media to express their concerns.

According to residents, the increasing number of visitors to Bibury has been a growing problem for many years, but the recent bank holiday weekend highlighted the urgent need for action. Some residents reported that it took them an hour to travel just 1.5 miles through the village during peak times, with coaches and day-trippers causing gridlock on the narrow streets.
