Dodgers Extend Winning Streak to 6 Games with Yoshinobu Yamamoto’s Dominant 8-Inning Performance in 8-2 Victory over Marlins – NBC Los Angeles

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Los Angeles Dodgers continued their winning streak with an 8-2 victory over the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night. Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitched eight strong innings, allowing only two runs and five hits. Max Muncy started the game off with a grand slam in the first inning, his ninth homer of the season.

The Dodgers have been on fire, winning 13 of their last 15 games and hitting a total of 14 home runs in their past four games. Gavin Lux also contributed to the offensive onslaught with his first home run of the season.

On the other side, Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Bryan De La Cruz homered for the Marlins, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the Dodgers’ dominant performance.

Marlins’ starter Edward Cabrera struggled, lasting only two innings and issuing four walks and hitting a batter. The Dodgers took advantage of the shaky pitching, scoring four more runs in the third inning.

In terms of injuries, the Marlins are expecting the return of pitchers Jesus Luzardo and Braxton Garrett during their upcoming series against the Phillies. The Dodgers, on the other hand, saw positive progress with Clayton Kershaw’s bullpen session following offseason shoulder surgery.

Looking ahead, the Marlins will send LHP Ryan Weathers to the mound against the Dodgers, while the Dodgers will counter with RHP Gavin Stone, who has been solid in his recent starts. The matchup promises to be an exciting one as both teams look to continue their success on the field.
