Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Los Angeles Dodgers continued their winning streak with a 2-1 victory over the Washington Nationals, completing a three-game sweep. Yoshinobu Yamamoto led the charge with six shutout innings, allowing only four hits and a walk while striking out seven.

Teoscar Hernández provided the offensive spark for the Dodgers with a home run, helping the team secure their fourth straight win. On the other side, Joey Meneses had three hits for the Nationals, but it wasn’t enough to avoid being swept for the first time this season.

Shohei Ohtani, the designated hitter for the Dodgers, saw his nine-game hitting streak come to an end as he went 0 for 4 in the game. Despite this, the Dodgers managed to edge out the Nationals with key plays from their lineup.

Evan Phillips closed out the game with a perfect ninth inning, securing his seventh save of the season. MacKenzie Gore put up a strong performance for the Nationals, allowing only one run and striking out four in six innings.

The Dodgers will look to continue their winning ways as they face the Toronto Blue Jays in a three-game series, with RHP Gavin Stone taking the mound. The Nationals, on the other hand, will send RHP Trevor Williams to start against the Miami Marlins in a four-game series.

In other news, the Nationals made some roster moves, activating Keibert Ruiz from the IL and optioning Drew Millas to Triple-A Rochester. Manager Dave Martinez also provided updates on the injury status of RHP Josiah Gray, who could start throwing off a mound soon.
