Donald Trump’s defense team argues that Stormy Daniels’ statement is inconsistent because they believe the alleged incident never occurred.

Former US President Donald Trump’s defence team has made a bold statement regarding pornstar Stormy Daniels’ allegations of a sexual encounter with Trump, claiming that her story keeps changing because “it never happened.”

Susan Necheles, Trump’s defence attorney, led the cross-examination of Daniels, highlighting a 2018 statement signed by her that denied any encounter with Trump. Despite acknowledging her signature, Daniels disclaimed authorship of the statement, further denying any sexual relationship with Trump by stating, “I’m denying this affair because it never happened.”

During the trial, Daniels revealed that Trump’s former attorney, Michael Cohen, pressured her to sign the document. She clarified that she never directly asked Trump for money, but rather sought payment from publications to share her story and reveal the truth.

Daniels admitted to selling her story for nearly $1 million, tied to her book deal for “Full Disclosure,” although she claimed to have not received the full amount. However, discrepancies arose when Daniels recounted the alleged 2006 encounter differently in court than in her initial disclosure and book narrative.

Necheles confronted Daniels with a past interview where she allegedly told a different story, to which Daniels admitted to some memory lapses. The defence team accused Daniels of fabricating the story, but she vehemently denied it.

Prosecutor Susan Hoffinger elicited Daniels’ admission of entering a non-disclosure agreement and accepting $130,000 as hush money, primarily for safety reasons. Despite the ongoing legal battle, Daniels remains steadfast in her claims against Trump, challenging the validity of the NDA due to his missing signature.

As the trial continues, the public awaits further revelations and developments in this high-profile case.
