Athletes from Gibraltar, Southern Door, and Sturgeon Bay showcased their talents at the Cold Vike Invite hosted by Denmark on Saturday, with impressive results across the board.

The Southern Door boys’ track team put on a strong performance, coming in second with 125 points, narrowly missing out on the top spot to Pulaski. Standout athletes Zach Lynch, Ben Grota, and Alaric Urban each secured victories in two events, with the team also earning four other top 3 finishes. On the girls’ side, Frankie Nellis and Elise Jackson stood out with wins in the long jump, triple jump, and 300m hurdles respectively.

Meanwhile, the Sturgeon Bay track teams also had a successful day, with the girls earning three event wins. Ella Tarkowski, Cady Carlson, and Nida Zukauskaite led the charge with impressive performances in the 100m, 400m, and high jump. The boys’ team also had a strong showing with Gannon Evers securing an event win in the discus.

Gibraltar’s McKailey Reisen shone bright at the meet, winning the high jump and 100m hurdles. Bella Jones also contributed with a top 3 finish for the Vikings. Despite the boys’ team finishing outside the top 8 in most events, the 4x200m relay team managed to secure a fifth-place finish.

Overall, the competition was fierce, with Pulaski emerging as the top team in both the boys’ and girls’ divisions. The athletes from Gibraltar, Southern Door, and Sturgeon Bay proved their mettle and showcased their talent on the track, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.
