Dr. Drew Pinsky, a renowned physician, has weighed in on the Britney Spears situation, shedding light on the legal complexities surrounding her mental health. In a recent appearance on “TMZ Live,” Dr. Drew explained why a second conservatorship for Britney is highly unlikely in California.

According to Dr. Drew, obtaining a new conservatorship for Britney would require her to exhibit extreme behavior, such as posing a danger to herself or others, or losing the ability to care for herself. He emphasized that such measures are harder to come by now compared to when Britney was first placed under a conservatorship.

Despite the challenges, Dr. Drew emphasized the importance of intervention and seeking help for Britney. He mentioned that while it may be difficult to force someone to seek medical assistance for mental health issues, showing support and urging them to get help can make a difference.

Recent reports have indicated that Britney’s mental health has been deteriorating since the end of her conservatorship in November 2021. Allegedly, she has been neglecting her prescribed medication and turning to alcohol and drugs instead.

In a troubling incident earlier this month, Britney and her boyfriend were involved in a physical altercation at a hotel, prompting paramedics to be called to the scene. Despite the challenges, Dr. Drew remains hopeful that Britney can seek help and overcome her struggles, emphasizing that no one is exempt from mental health challenges, not even celebrities like Britney Spears.
