Drake Fires Back at Kendrick Lamar in Leaked Song ‘Push Ups’
In a surprising turn of events, Drake has seemingly taken shots at Kendrick Lamar in his newly leaked track, “Push Ups (Drop and Give Me 50).” The lyrics in the song appear to be a direct response to Kendrick’s recent track, “Like That,” causing a stir in the music industry.
The 37-year-old rapper doesn’t hold back in his lyrics, rapping lines like, “How the f**k you big steppin with a size 7 mens on?” and “Ain’t no way you doin’ splits bitch your pants might rip.” Drake also seems to mock Kendrick’s collaborations with other artists, calling him a “pipsqueak” at one point in the song.
This feud comes on the heels of J. Cole expressing regret for his involvement in Kendrick’s diss towards Drake in the song “7 Minute Drill.” The Dreamville Festival in North Carolina saw J. Cole admitting his conflicted feelings about the situation, stating, “I know how I feel about my peers, these two n****s that I just been blessed to even stand beside in this game [Drake and Kendrick Lamar], let alone chase, chase they greatness, right?”
The beef between Drake and Kendrick escalated after Kendrick’s uncredited verse on Metro Boomin’ and Future’s track “Like That,” where J. Cole referred to themselves as the “big three.” This led to a back-and-forth of diss tracks and subtle jabs between the two artists.
As fans eagerly await Kendrick’s response, it’s clear that this feud is far from over. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
