Former child star Drake Bell has opened up about the abuse he endured from dialect coach Brian Peck, describing the experience as “extensive and brutal.” In a recent appearance on the ‘Man Enough’ podcast, the 37-year-old singer and actor shared that speaking out about the trauma has been “freeing” for him, despite facing public scrutiny.

Bell revealed that the abuse took place over a six-month period when he was just 15 years old. He acknowledged that the trauma will stay with him for the rest of his life but has sought help in rehab to address issues with self-medicating and behavioral changes resulting from the abuse.

The ‘Amanda Show’ star also addressed his legal troubles, including a 2021 sentencing for attempted child endangerment and disseminating harmful material to a minor. Bell admitted to a power dynamic in his interactions with the victim and urged fans to stop attacking her on social media.

Instead, he asked for support through “love and compassion” and encouraged fans to be there for other survivors. Bell emphasized the importance of fighting for what is important, including his family, relationships, and personal well-being.

Despite the challenges he has faced, Drake Bell’s courage in speaking out about his past abuse serves as a reminder of the strength and resilience of survivors.
