Dry and Zeevy Receive Top Honors in Women’s Tennis All-Conference Selections

The Stevens Institute of Technology women’s tennis team continues to dominate the MAC Freedom conference, with two members earning major awards and four players receiving All-MAC Freedom honors. First-year player Alix Dry was named the MAC Freedom Rookie of the Year, while head coach Arik Zeevy received the Coach of the Year award. Dry and sophomore Stephanie Untermeyer were selected to the All-MAC Freedom First team, showcasing their exceptional talent and contribution to the team’s success.

Dry, hailing from Austin, Texas, has been a standout player in her first season at Castle Point, with an impressive singles record of 13-9 and a doubles record of 16-9. Paired with Untermeyer, the duo has been formidable on the court, posting a 13-7 record in doubles matches. Zeevy, in his third Coach of the Year win in four seasons, has led the Ducks to a perfect 6-0 record in conference play and secured their third-straight MAC Freedom title.

Untermeyer, who was named Rookie of the Year last season, has continued to excel with a 10-7 singles record and a perfect 5-0 record in MAC Freedom play this season. The team’s success is further highlighted by the selection of Julianna Gomez and Polina Odintseva to the All-MAC Freedom Second Team, along with Emma Eguia receiving an honorable mention.

With five all-conference selections, the Ducks are gearing up to face Eastern Nazarene in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The team’s impressive performance and strong lineup have positioned them as a formidable contender in the upcoming tournament, showcasing their determination and skill on the court.
