Dubai Press Club announces the Arab Media Summit – UAE, following Mohammed bin Rashid’s directives

The Arab Media Summit is set to be a groundbreaking event that will bring together key players in the media industry from across the Arab world. Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, the summit will serve as an umbrella for various media events organized by the Dubai Press Club.

The 22nd Arab Media Forum, scheduled for 28-29 May, and the second Arab Youth Media Forum on 27 May, will be the highlight events under the Arab Media Summit. These events will feature over 110 sessions and workshops, along with 40 side events, bringing together more than 4,000 participants, 250 speakers, and 200 prominent media figures.

The organizing committee of the Arab Media Forum revealed the event’s agenda, which includes discussions on political, economic, social, technological, and cultural developments driving the media’s transformation in the region. The forum aims to analyze the sector’s role in the changing landscape of the Arab world and discuss challenges and opportunities for media professionals.

The second Arab Youth Media Forum will focus on empowering the next generation of media professionals and influencers in the region. Notable speakers like His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Dr. Sultan AlNeyadi will lead sessions dedicated to the aspirations of the youth.

The Arab Media Award and the Arab Social Media Influencers Award will also be part of the summit, recognizing excellence in regional media and digital influencers. The Arab Media Summit aims to create a platform for knowledge exchange and dialogue in the media industry, ensuring that Arab media can contribute effectively to sustainable development in the region.

The Arab Media Forum will feature sessions on various topics, including the future of Yemen, the GCC’s future, tech updates in media, media development in Kuwait, and the impact of US elections on the region. Global industry leaders like Pavel Durov, Founder of Telegram and VKontakte, will also participate in discussions on media trends and challenges.

The forum will also address pressing issues like media coverage of the Palestinian cause, the impact of disinformation and AI in media, and the growth of streaming platforms. Renowned media personalities like Bassem Youssef will share their insights, and sessions on media investments and ethical practices in national media will provide valuable information for industry professionals.

In addition to the main events, the Arab Media Summit will host ‘Media Pioneers,’ bringing together pioneers in Dubai’s media industry to share their experiences and motivate a new generation of media professionals. Brand Dubai will showcase innovative products and concepts from its ‘Proudly from Dubai’ network, highlighting the emirate’s entrepreneurial culture.

Overall, the Arab Media Summit promises to be a comprehensive and engaging platform for media professionals to discuss, learn, and network, ensuring that Arab media continues to evolve and thrive in the ever-changing media landscape.
