Dubai Ranks 11th Globally in Leading Maritime Capitals Index
Dubai has once again proven its status as an international maritime hub by securing the top spot in the Arab world and ranking 11th globally in the 2024 Leading Maritime Cities (LMC) report. Dr. Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed bin Khalifa Al-Maktoum, Executive Director of the DMA, emphasized the Authority’s comprehensive development strategy and its focus on advancing Dubai’s position as a global hub for security, technology, financial matters, and green technology. Dubai’s achievements in the Leading Maritime Capitals index reflect its strength and economic attractiveness, distinguishing it as a leader in advanced areas of security and technology.
In addition to the LMC ranking, Singapore retained its title as the leading maritime city in the world for 2024. Dubai’s success in leading the Arab maritime capitals and ranking 11th globally underscores its commitment to advancing its global position and excelling in the vital maritime sector. The city’s accent on green technology in the maritime sector has also earned praise, further solidifying its reputation as an innovative and sustainable maritime hub.
Overall, Dubai’s rise in the Leading Maritime Capitals index is a testament to its continuous efforts to enhance its maritime sector and strengthen its position on the global stage.
