Dunkirk Marauders dominated Silver Creek/Forestville in a nonleague baseball game on Tuesday, securing a 12-0 victory in just five innings at Al Stuhlmiller Field. The game started with a bang as Dunkirk scored seven runs in the first inning, setting the tone for the rest of the game.

Pitcher Anthony Cosme led the charge for the Marauders, striking out eight batters in his time on the mound. He was supported by Josh Smith, Greg Orcutt, and Zach Zentz, who all contributed to the one-hitter that shut down Silver Creek’s offense.

The offensive highlight of the game came in the third inning when Donnie Jackson hit a three-run home run, extending Dunkirk’s lead even further. The Marauders continued to add runs throughout the game, showcasing their strength both on the mound and at the plate.

Head coach Frank Jagoda praised his team’s performance, especially highlighting Cosme’s impressive start and Smith’s quick work on the mound. With this win, Dunkirk improves to a 2-2 record and looks ahead to their upcoming league game against Salamanca.

In other baseball action, Hamburg rallied late to defeat Fredonia 8-4, while Southwestern’s Jameson Walsh threw a no-hit gem in a 10-3 victory over Chautauqua Lake. Salamanca also secured a win, edging out Clymer/Sherman/Panama 5-3 behind Jaxson Ross’s stellar performance. Jamestown, unfortunately, fell to West Seneca West in a tough 13-1 loss.
