Easter Travel Surge: Can Holiday Prices Expect to Rise? ᐉ Updates from Fakti.bg – Bulgaria

Reading Time: < 1 minute

As Easter and St. George’s Day approach, one million Bulgarians are preparing to embark on holiday travels, with tour operators reporting a surge in bookings. The upcoming holidays have provided the perfect opportunity for Bulgarians to take a break and explore new destinations, leading to a mass exodus of travelers next week.

The majority of vacationers are opting to stay within the country, with 850,000 choosing domestic destinations and 150,000 venturing abroad. The Black Sea resorts are gearing up to welcome hundreds of thousands of tourists, despite the cooler temperatures not being ideal for beach vacations.

According to Rumen Draganov from the Institute for Analyzes and Evaluations in Tourism, spa and wellness accommodations are in high demand, with hotels along the Black Sea preparing to open their doors for the holiday season. Prices for accommodations start at 100-120 BGN per person per night, with a slight increase in all-inclusive packages due to rising food costs.

While some hoteliers in Bansko are trying to attract tourists despite the melting snow, the overall tourism industry in Bulgaria is thriving. The country has been ranked seventh in terms of affordability for tourists, making it an attractive destination for travelers on a budget.

Additionally, there has been a noticeable increase in foreign tourists choosing Bulgaria for their vacations, particularly during the first week of May. The unique celebration of Easter by Eastern Orthodox Christians has drawn visitors from around the world to experience the cultural festivities in Bulgaria.

Overall, the tourism industry in Bulgaria is experiencing a boom, with both domestic and international travelers flocking to the country for the upcoming holidays. With affordable prices, diverse attractions, and welcoming accommodations, Bulgaria continues to be a top choice for holidaymakers seeking a memorable vacation experience.
