Edmonton RCMP express gratitude to bystanders who helped at Alberta collision that tragically took the life of a 5-year-old girl

A tragic fatal collision on Highway 2 in Westlock, Alta., has left a five-year-old girl dead and three others with serious injuries. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, north of Township Road 602, in Westlock County.

According to RCMP, two vehicles collided head-on, resulting in the devastating crash. The young girl from Westlock lost her life in the collision, while the injured individuals were rushed to the hospital by ambulance or STARS. The current condition of the injured parties remains unknown.

In the aftermath of the collision, members of the public who arrived at the scene quickly sprang into action, providing aid, CPR, and traffic control until authorities arrived. The Westlock RCMP expressed their gratitude for the assistance and bravery shown by these individuals in helping their fellow Albertans during the crisis.

RCMP extended their condolences to the family and friends of the young girl who tragically lost her life in the collision. They also provided contact information for the Victim Services Unit for those in need of support.
