Eight players ejected after line brawl in Rangers vs. Devils game

In a shocking turn of events, the New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils engaged in a massive brawl just seconds into their matchup on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden. The game got off to a violent start as players from both teams threw punches and were quickly ejected from the game.

A total of eight players, including Rangers’ Jacob Trouba, Matt Rempe, K’Andre Miller, and Barclay Goodrow, as well as Devils’ John Marino, Chris Tierney, Kurtis MacDermid, and Kevin Bahl, were assessed fighting majors and ejected from the game. Only Devils’ Curtis Lazar and Rangers’ Jimmy Vesey were allowed to stay on the ice after being involved in the initial fight.
