Emirates and MSC Cruises Extend Partnership to Boost Dubai’s Cruise Tourism

Emirates and MSC Cruises have announced the renewal of their partnership for another two seasons, solidifying Dubai’s position as a major cruise hub. The agreement, unveiled at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) in Dubai, UAE, builds on a decade-long relationship between the two companies and aims to enhance the guest experience while supporting the growth of Dubai’s cruise tourism eco-system.

Guests can now book a Fly&Cruise holiday package with MSC Cruises for the next two years, which includes Emirates return flights from 21 airports across Europe and South America. Nabil Sultan, Emirates’ Executive Vice President for Passenger Sales and Country Management, expressed his enthusiasm for the continued partnership, stating, “We’re confident that we have the right plans in place to deliver a seamless sea-to-air experience for our customers. Our partnership with MSC Cruises is one of the ways we’re working to strengthen Dubai’s position as the world’s preferred winter cruising destination.”

Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, echoed Sultan’s sentiments, emphasizing the benefits of the collaboration between the two industry leaders. He stated, “Both Emirates and MSC Cruises are recognized as leaders in their fields, so it’s a perfect match to offer Emirates’ high-quality flight service with the outstanding experience waiting for guests on board our ship.”

The partnership between Emirates and MSC Cruises will focus on joint promotional strategies such as Fly&Cruise packages and marketing campaigns in key markets to boost Dubai’s appeal as a cruise destination. Additionally, the two companies will share data and insights to enhance service delivery, coordinate flight and cruise schedules, and facilitate a smooth check-in process at Port Rashid.

Fly&Cruise packages offer a range of benefits, including dedicated bus transfers to the ship upon arrival and streamlined luggage handling at the cruise terminal. With Emirates’ extensive international network, MSC Fly&Cruise packages with Emirates flights are available from various European cities and São Paulo. American cruise guests will soon be able to book Emirates flights through MSC Cruises from select U.S. cities.

MSC Euribia, MSC Cruises’ flagship vessel, will sail from Dubai for the winter 2024/25 season, offering 7-night itineraries to destinations such as Doha, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, and Sir Bani Yas – the largest natural island in the UAE known for its pristine beaches and diverse wildlife.

The partnership between Emirates and MSC Cruises signifies a commitment to enhancing the cruise tourism experience in Dubai and further establishing the city as a premier cruise destination. With a focus on seamless travel experiences and top-notch service, the collaboration is set to benefit travelers seeking unforgettable cruise holidays in the region.
