Emirates Airlines Strengthens Partnerships to Boost Tourism

Emirates Airlines has recently reaffirmed its commitment to boosting tourism across its network by renewing its strategic partnerships with Tourism Seychelles and the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, as well as forging a new partnership with the Hong Kong Tourism Board.

The airline has pledged its continued support to Tourism Seychelles, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the island nation to promote tourism and trade. Ahmed Khoory, Emirates’ Senior Vice President Commercial – West Asia & Indian Ocean, expressed the airline’s dedication to promoting Seychelles as a key leisure destination in their network. Emirates has been operating in Seychelles since 2005 and has been actively promoting tourism to the nation since 2013.

Under the agreement with Tourism Seychelles, Emirates will support travel agents and tour operators in key markets to promote the island as a leisure destination. Special holiday packages, incentives, marketing support, and familiarization trips will be organized to attract global customers to Seychelles.

Emirates also renewed its commitment to promoting tourism in Sri Lanka, signing an MoU with the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau. With 38 years of operations in Sri Lanka, Emirates will continue to develop special packages and organize familiarization trips to attract a broader audience to the island nation. The airline will work closely with travel agents and tour operators in key markets to showcase Sri Lanka’s offerings to customers worldwide.

In addition to its partnerships with Seychelles and Sri Lanka, Emirates has also entered into a new partnership with the Hong Kong Tourism Board to boost inbound tourism from the Middle East and Europe. The agreement aims to drive trade and tourism into Hong Kong through joint initiatives such as familiarization trips, promotional plans, and targeted advertising campaigns.

Orhan Abbas, Emirates’ Senior Vice President Commercial Operations Far East, expressed excitement about the partnership with the Hong Kong Tourism Board, highlighting the city’s popularity among global customers. Through their extensive global network, Emirates will introduce travelers from key markets to Hong Kong’s vibrant culture, culinary scene, and attractions.
