Emirates and flynas Expand Interline Partnership to Enhance Travel Options

In an exciting development for travelers, Emirates and flynas have signed an expanded two-way interline partnership at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) today. This partnership aims to provide more travel choices and seamless connections for flynas customers through Dubai.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed at ATM by Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, and Bander Almohanna, Group CEO & Managing Director of flynas. The signing took place in the presence of esteemed personalities such as His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group, and flynas Chairman Ayed Al Jeaid, along with other senior representatives from both airlines.

Emirates’ existing interline agreement with flynas already offers enhanced connectivity for customers through four gateways in Saudi Arabia – Riyadh, Jeddah, Medinah, and Dammam. This includes the convenience of single ticket itineraries with onwards booking and baggage transfers to over 15 domestic points in the Kingdom.

With the expansion of the interline partnership to a bilateral arrangement, flynas customers will now have access to Emirates’ extensive network in the Far East, West Asia & Indian Ocean, and Europe via Dubai. This opens up a wide range of onward destinations for flynas travelers to explore.

Bander Almohanna, CEO & Managing Director of flynas, expressed his enthusiasm for the expanded partnership, stating, “We are quite pleased to offer more choices to our customers through Emirates’ wide network. Once the expanded interline partnership is activated, customers will be able to book their travel on the flynas website, through online travel agencies as well as with local travel agents.”

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates Airline, also shared his excitement about the collaboration, saying, “The existing flynas links provide our customers with an array of possibilities to travel smoothly across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Connecting our networks solidifies our commitment to offering travelers in Saudi Arabia access to even more destinations and helping them benefit from unique travel options.”

This partnership aligns with Emirates’ efforts to support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 plans, which include boosting tourism and attracting visitors to the country. In 2022, Emirates signed an MoU with the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA) to enhance inbound tourism and attract new segments of travelers from around the world.

Emirates has a long history of operating in Saudi Arabia since 1989, serving key cities like Riyadh, Jeddah, Medina, and Dammam with 73 weekly flights, including A380 services to Riyadh and Jeddah. The expanded interline partnership with flynas is set to further enhance travel options for customers and strengthen the ties between the two airlines.

As the partnership becomes active, customers will be able to book their travel seamlessly through the flynas website, online travel agencies, and local travel agents. This collaboration marks the beginning of a promising journey for both Emirates and flynas, with potential for further expansion and cooperation in the future.
