Emirates Airlines Sweeps Top Awards at Business Travel Middle East, World Travel Awards, and International Loyalty Awards 2024
Emirates Airlines has once again proven its dominance in the aviation industry by taking home multiple top honours at the prestigious Business Travel Middle East Awards (BTME), World Travel Awards (WTA), and International Loyalty Awards 2024. The airline’s continuous investments and initiatives to provide customers with unparalleled travel experiences have been recognized by industry leaders and professionals from around the world.
The awards ceremonies, which took place on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, saw Emirates Airlines clinch several coveted titles. At the Business Traveller Middle East Awards 2024, Emirates was named ‘Best Airline Worldwide’ and also received accolades for ‘Airline with the Best Premium Economy Class’, ‘Airline with the Best First Class’, ‘Best Airport Lounge in the Middle East’, and ‘Airline with the Best Frequent Flyer Programme’. Adil Al Ghaith, Emirates’ Senior Vice President, and Dr Nejib Ben Khedher, Divisional Senior Vice President of Skywards, accepted the awards on behalf of the airline.
Emirates continued its winning streak at the World Travel Awards 2024, where it was recognized as the ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline 2024’, ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline – First Class 2024’, and ‘Middle East’s Leading Airline Rewards Programme 2024 – Skywards’. The airline’s loyalty programme, Emirates Skywards, also received the prestigious title of “Global Loyalty Programme of the Year Middle East” at the International Loyalty Awards 2024, solidifying its position as one of the most valued loyalty programmes in the world with over 30 million members worldwide.
Emirates’ commitment to providing world-class products and services to its customers was highlighted through a series of recent enhancements, including the introduction of complimentary loungewear and meal pre-ordering for Business Class passengers, the refurbishment of 8 Emirates Lounges worldwide, and the retrofitting of 16 A380 aircraft with the latest cabin interiors. The airline announced at the Arabian Travel Market that it will expand its multi-billion dollar retrofit programme to include 71 A380s and Boeing 777s, ensuring that nearly its entire passenger fleet is equipped to offer an exceptional travel experience.
In addition, Emirates revealed plans to introduce its popular Premium Economy product to customers in 42 cities by February 2025, with the arrival of the first batch of A350 aircraft in September. These newly retrofitted aircraft will also feature Premium Economy cabins, further enhancing the overall passenger experience.
