Reading Time: < 1 minute

England Golf has launched a new initiative to encourage more people to take up the game of golf and reap the many physical and mental health benefits it offers. The Get Into Golf website, which was launched on May 15, coincides with Mental Health Awareness Week and aims to provide a platform for beginners to learn about the game and get involved.

Following the success of its Respect in Golf movement in 2023, England Golf is committed to making the sport inclusive and accessible to people from all walks of life. The new website offers advice, tips, and case studies to help newcomers get started, as well as information on the benefits of golf, inspiring stories from the community, and tips for players of all levels.

The website also features a ‘Get Course Ready in 5 Weeks’ video series, designed to equip beginners with the skills and knowledge needed to confidently step onto a golf course. Additionally, there are various activities and programs available for beginners, such as adventure/mini golf courses, driving ranges, and specialized programs like Get Into Golf Rookies, Girls Golf Rocks, and Women on Par.

England Golf Chief Operating Officer Richard Flint emphasized the importance of golf in promoting movement and enhancing mental wellbeing. The Get Into Golf website aims to make the sport more inclusive and accessible to a wider audience, allowing them to access resources and content to achieve their golfing goals and enjoy the health benefits of the game. With nearly 500 activities already available on the site, the website is a valuable resource for anyone looking to get into golf and improve their physical and mental health.
