EPPCO Lubricants, the joint venture between ENOC and Chevron, has made a significant move in the UAE market by signing an agreement with SKF, a global leader in bearing and seal manufacturing, to introduce the revolutionary SKF RecondOil technology. This groundbreaking technology is set to transform the way industrial lubricants are used and recycled in the region.
The SKF RecondOil filtration technology is based on a double separation system that effectively cleans the oil in service by removing harmful nano-particles that can cause varnish and wear of mechanical components. By extending the lifespan of lubricants, this innovative technology promotes a circular economy approach, turning industrial lubricants from a costly consumable into a reliable asset.
EPPCO Lubricants, known for its expertise in the lubricant industry, has been appointed as the sole distributor of SKF RecondOil filters in the UAE. After undergoing two years of rigorous technical evaluation, EPPCO and SKF have confirmed that RecondOil offers unmatched value by enhancing system longevity and reducing carbon emissions.
The agreement between EPPCO Lubricants and SKF was officially signed by Rashid Al Ameeri, General Manager at EPPCO Lubricants, and Nihad Dzinalija, Regional Manager, Middle East, EMEA, at SKF Eurotrade, in Dubai. The signing ceremony was attended by executives and employees from both companies, highlighting the importance of this partnership in the industry.
His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO of ENOC and Chairman of Eppco Lubricants board, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We invest in next-generation and clean technologies through our focus on acquiring innovative solutions that add to our operational efficiency. Our latest partnership with SKF will offer our growing base of customers access to a revolutionary lubricant filtration technology that is sustainable and will prevent the oil from aging, ensuring optimal performance. We are confident that this strategic partnership will fulfill the current market requirement providing customers with reliable oil solutions.”
Sandro Chervatin, Director Sales Italy, Iberic, Turkey & ME at SKF, emphasized the benefits of RecondOil technology, saying, “RecondOil is a proven innovative technology, a patented double-separation nanoparticle technology for oil filtration that re-uses used oil and reduces environmental impact. This cutting-edge technology involves a comprehensive understanding of the lubricant industry, precise matching of oil with the filter, and an ongoing oil analysis program to monitor filtration performance.”
EPPCO Lubricants, a joint venture between ENOC and Chevron Al Khaleej, distributes ENOC & Caltex branded lubricants and greases in the UAE, catering to various industries such as automotive, industrial, manufacturing, and marine businesses. On the other hand, SKF, a Swedish company founded in 1907, is a global leader in bearing and seal manufacturing, supplying a wide range of products and services to industries worldwide.
With this partnership, EPPCO Lubricants and SKF are set to revolutionize the lubricant industry in the UAE, offering customers sustainable and efficient solutions for their lubrication needs. The introduction of SKF RecondOil technology marks a significant step towards a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective approach to industrial lubricants, benefiting both businesses and the environment.
