Entertainment News: MTV Movie and TV Awards Cancelled for 2024

The MTV Movie and TV Awards have been axed for 2024, with plans to return in 2025 with a “re-imagined format”. The 2023 ceremony was pre-recorded after host Drew Barrymore stepped down in support of the Writers Guild of America strike. The event went host-less, and ratings remained strong. In other news, Jason Aldean will pay tribute to the late Toby Keith at the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards. The 59th ACM Awards, hosted by Reba McEntire, will take place in Texas.
