Amitabh Bachchan’s Look as Immortal ‘Ashwatthama’ Revealed in Teaser for ‘Kalki 2898 AD’

In a thrilling moment during the Indian Premier League match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the makers of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ unveiled the teaser showcasing Amitabh Bachchan’s look as the immortal character ‘Ashwatthama’. The 21-second teaser captured Big B in warm earthy tones, seated in a cave engaged in prayer to a Shiva linga, and covered with bandages.

The teaser also featured a young kid questioning Bachchan’s character, asking if he was a god and if he could not die. In response, the character revealed, “Dwapar yug se Dash avatar ki pratiksha kar raha hoon main, Dronacharya ka putra Ashwatthama” (Since the Dwapar Yug, I have waited for the Dasavatar).

Directed by Nag Ashwin, known for his works like ‘Yevade Subramanyam’ and ‘Mahanati’, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is a mythology-inspired sci-fi extravaganza set in the future. The film also stars Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani.

The sci-fi flick made waves after its debut at San Diego Comic-Con last year, earning massive global acclaim. With Bachchan’s intriguing look as ‘Ashwatthama’ revealed, fans are eagerly anticipating the release of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’.
