Mrs Ibukun Awosika, a renowned Motivational Speaker and Entrepreneur, delivered a powerful message at the Woman to Woman (W2W) Conference in Abuja, emphasizing the importance of investing in the younger generation for the long-term benefit of the Church and nation. The conference, themed ‘Planted to Flourish’, was organized by the House on the Rock, the Refuge, Church, Abuja to celebrate Women’s Day.
Awosika highlighted the significance of shaping young minds early to avoid future challenges, stating that investing in people not only adds value to them but also benefits society as a whole. She stressed the need to maximize the talent of women, recognizing them as strategic assets for societal development.
Lead Pastor, Mr Uche Aigbe, echoed the importance of women in life, emphasizing their crucial role as helpmates created by God. He expressed gratitude for women and urged them to fulfill God’s purpose and mandate in the world.
Dr Chichi Aigbe, President of Woman to Woman Ministry, encouraged women to support their husbands and remain rooted in faith. She praised women for their resilience, likening them to palm trees that can find water even in the desert. She emphasized the importance of staying connected to God and His word, especially during difficult times.
The GROW initiative, led by Doreen Mogaji, focuses on supporting women-owned small businesses and giving back to the community through charitable activities. They provide equipment and seed grants to women entrepreneurs, engage in community outreach programs, and offer counseling services to families in crisis, all based on scriptural teachings. The initiative aims to build a solid foundation for the community and empower women to flourish in their endeavors.
