Equinox, a luxury gym chain in the US, has partnered with lab-test start-up Function Health to launch a groundbreaking annual gym membership program priced at $40,000. The program, called “Optimize by Equinox,” offers members a comprehensive package that includes personal training, sleep coaching, nutrition plans, and 100 lab tests from Function Health.

This initiative is part of the growing longevity industry’s efforts to combat aging using advanced technology. Julia Klim, Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Equinox, described the partnership as a significant step towards enhancing healthspan and longevity. She emphasized that the collaboration represents a new era in personalized, performance-driven health by integrating top-tier personal training with innovative research and data across nutrition and regeneration.

Function Health, established in 2023, focuses on helping its members “live 100 healthy years” by offering over 100 lab tests that assess various aspects of health, including heart, kidney, liver, and thyroid health, as well as nutrients and stress levels. Mark Hyman, co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Function Health, highlighted the unique combination of Equinox’s expertise with their comprehensive lab test methodology, unlocking a level of health and fitness beyond traditional approaches.

The $40,000 membership package includes three weekly personal training sessions, two monthly consultations with nutritionists, and personalized health programs designed based on Function Health’s tests. Initially available at Equinox’s E Club locations in New York City and Highland Park, Texas, the program is set to expand to other locations in the near future. This strategic partnership between physical fitness and medical testing aims to provide a holistic approach to health and well-being for members.
