The Escanaba Country Club was buzzing with excitement as the annual Esky Invite took place before the storm rolled in on Thursday. The Esky girls dominated the competition, claiming first place with a team score of 385. Sophie Derkos led the Eskymos with a score of 90, followed closely by Kamrie Scott with a 91.

On the boys side, there was a thrilling three-way tie for first place between Escanaba’s Bryson Lancour and Graham Johnson, and Marquette sophomore Jack Pond, all finishing with a score of 77. The team standings were equally intense, with the Sentinels edging out the Eskymos with a score of 314 to 315.

Marquette put up a strong fight with Seve Swanson scoring a 78, Easton Aho with a 79, and Kyle Moyer with an 80. The Eskymos countered with Shane Wallin scoring a 78 and Carson Artley with an 83. The competition was fierce, with Esky’s B team finishing fourth and Gladstone tying for sixth with Menominee.
