State champions will be crowned in the Lower Peninsula in girls tennis this weekend, with players from across Michigan set to compete at four different locations. The action kicks off on Friday with the finals taking place on Saturday.
In Division 1, players will converge in Midland at the Midland Tennis Center and Midland High. Division 2 players will battle it out in the Grand Rapids area, with matches at Byron Center, South Christian, and Grandville on Friday, followed by all matches on Saturday at Byron Center’s West Sports Complex. Division 3 players will showcase their skills in Kalamazoo at Kalamazoo College’s Stowe Stadium and Western Michigan. Ann Arbor will host Division 4 matches at Greenhills, Chippewa Racquet Club, and the University of Michigan’s Varsity Tennis Center.

Ann Arbor Pioneer aims for its fourth consecutive Division 1 state title, while Birmingham Seaholm seeks to defend its Division 2 crown. Cranbrook Kingswood eyes a three-peat in Division 3, and Ann Arbor Greenhills hopes to secure its third straight title in Division 4.
Top-seeded players to watch include Utica Eisenhower’s Gabriella Sadowski, Rochester Adams’ Nicole Fu, and Clarkston’s Sydney Geisz, among others. Exciting matchups and fierce competition are expected as these talented athletes vie for the coveted state titles in girls tennis.
