Ewon aims to train 10,000 entrepreneurs in Insken program | Daily Express Malaysia

The National Institute of Entrepreneurship (Insken) is set to empower 10,000 entrepreneurs this year, as announced by Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick. Last year, Insken successfully trained 9,700 entrepreneurs, with some experiencing a remarkable 75% increase in sales after completing the institute’s coaching programme.

Ewon emphasized the importance of Insken in providing guidance and support to entrepreneurs in the country. He mentioned that several entrepreneurship programmes are lined up for this year to assist the targeted 10,000 entrepreneurs. Research indicates that micro and small entrepreneurs are predominantly involved in the service sector, highlighting the need for specialized training and support in this area.

Insken, an agency under the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives, offers capacity development initiatives through training programmes and guidance. The upcoming Mega Madani Entrepreneur and Sales Carnival (KUJMM) organized by Kuskop will take place on May 11 and 12 in Kuala Penyu, Sabah, coinciding with the Pesta Kaamatan festival.

Ewon also revealed the Ministry’s plans for the year, including the National Cooperative Month Celebration, Franchise Day, and Madani Cooperative Sales events. The continuous efforts to support and empower entrepreneurs reflect the government’s commitment to fostering a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country.
