Ex-professional pitcher becomes part of Sanford Sports Academy

Former professional pitcher Blake Svoboda has been named a sports academy specialist at the Sanford Sports Academy in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. With a focus on baseball, Svoboda will work alongside Coach Steve Phillips to support youth camps, clinics, and the Sanford Sports 10U-14U baseball teams.

Having played college baseball at Mount Marty University and with two years of professional experience with the Sioux Falls Canaries and MLB Draft League, Svoboda brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. Todd Kolb, director of the Sanford Sports Academy, expressed excitement about the advanced teaching Svoboda will provide to young athletes in the program.

With a degree in exercise science and five years of coaching experience, Svoboda is well-equipped to help athletes improve their skills and reach their full potential. Prior to joining the Sanford Sports Academy, he served as a strength and conditioning coach with Sanford Sports Performance in Sioux Falls.
