Exciting MCC Community Education Art Show and Sale Coming on Friday, June 7 | The Buzz – Bullhead City, Lake Havasu City, Kingman, Arizona, and California

Reading Time: < 1 minute

The Mohave Community College Community Education Division is gearing up for its second Art Show and Sale, set to take place at the College’s Beale Street Center on June 7th. Students from Bullhead City, Kingman, and Lake Havasu City will showcase their artwork from various Community Education classes, giving community members the opportunity to purchase their favorite pieces.

Lori Gunnette, Associate Dean of Career Training, Professional Development & Community Education, was inspired to organize the event after witnessing the incredible work being produced in MCC’s art classes. Approximately 70 pieces of art, including ceramics and watercolors, will be available for purchase at the event, with prices ranging from $25 to $30. All proceeds will go directly to the artists.

Gunnette encourages everyone to attend the show, emphasizing the chance to support local artists and acquire unique, locally-made artwork. She highlights that every piece on display was created in an MCC Community Education class.

In addition to the Art Show and Sale, Mohave Community College offers a variety of Community Education courses, as well as Art and Visual Arts courses for students looking to earn college credits. These programs provide students with the opportunity to earn an associate degree and transfer credits to an MCC university partner for a bachelor’s degree.

Don’t miss out on this exciting event that celebrates the talent and creativity of MCC’s Community Education students. Make sure to mark your calendars for June 7th and support local artists while adding a new piece of art to your collection.
