Google’s Gemini AI has received a major upgrade, introducing a range of new features that promise to revolutionize the way users interact with artificial intelligence. The annual I/O developer conference kicked off with CEO Sundar Pichai unveiling Gemini 1.5 Pro, an advanced AI model that will power key services like Search, Photos, Workspace, and Android. This upgrade aims to make AI more accessible and useful for everyone, highlighting Google’s strategic focus on AI development.

Some of the key features of the updated Gemini AI include the ability to summarize up to 1,500 pages of text, a new Flash AI model for smaller tasks, enhanced translation capabilities in 35 languages, and plans to replace Google Assistant with Gemini on Android phones. Additionally, Gmail users can look forward to upgraded AI capabilities through Gemini, allowing for email summarization, key point highlighting in Google Meet recordings, and answering questions buried in emails.

The email summarization feature is set to be available this month, with other features rolling out in July.
