Executor of O.J. Simpson Changes Stance on Goldman Payout

O.J. Simpson’s attorney, Malcolm LaVergne, has made a surprising announcement regarding the millions owed to the parents of Ron Goldman from a 1998 civil judgment. Initially stating he would fight against any payout to Fred Goldman, LaVergne has now changed his stance and declared that Goldman’s claim will be accepted and handled according to Nevada law.

LaVergne’s shift in position comes after facing backlash for his previous remarks towards Fred Goldman, who has been relentless in seeking justice for his son. LaVergne now plans to be transparent with both the Goldman and Brown Simpson families, inviting them to a meeting to discuss the estate.

Fred Goldman has expressed frustration over not receiving any money from Simpson related to the judgment, which increases by 10 percent each year. Despite the substantial amount owed, Goldman claims that Simpson has never paid a single penny towards the judgment.

Simpson’s assets, including real estate holdings in Florida, have been placed into a trust and will undergo a probate process in court. LaVergne, who is overseeing decisions on behalf of Simpson’s four adult children, stated that they will make choices based on what they believe their father would have wanted.

The decision to cremate Simpson’s remains was made by his children, with no immediate plans for a funeral ceremony. However, a memorial celebration of Simpson’s life is expected to take place in the near future, limited to family and friends.
