The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Institute is gearing up for the 18th edition of the IsDB Global Forum on Islamic Finance, set to take place in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on 28 April 2024. This prestigious event will coincide with the IsDB Group Annual Meetings and Golden Jubilee Celebration, bringing together key figures in the Islamic finance industry to discuss innovative strategies for sustainable development.
With the theme “Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership in Islamic Finance”, the forum will feature prominent speakers such as H.E. Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser, Chairman of the IsDB Group, and H.E. Dr. Stephen Groff, Governor of the Saudi National Development Fund. Additionally, the winner of the 2024 IsDB Prize for Impactful Achievement in Islamic Economics, Professor Mehmet Asutay, will be honored for his significant contributions to the field.
The forum will include panel discussions on the role of entrepreneurship in driving sustainable development within the Islamic finance framework, as well as a presentation on the Smart Stabilization System, a groundbreaking algorithm developed by the IsDB Institute in collaboration with SettleMint to enhance financial market stability.
Moreover, a new report titled “Catalyzing Social Entrepreneurship through Islamic Finance” will be launched at the event, exploring the potential of Islamic finance to support social entrepreneurship and impact investing.
The IsDB Global Forum on Islamic Finance, established in 2006, serves as a platform for strategic policy dialogue on knowledge and innovation in Islamic finance and development. This year’s edition promises to be a dynamic and insightful gathering of industry experts and thought leaders, driving forward the conversation on sustainable economic advancement in IsDB Member Countries and Muslim communities worldwide.
