Fairmont Cardinal Girls Golf Team Ready to Tee Off Season with Family Atmosphere

The Fairmont Cardinal girls golf lineup is gearing up for the season-opening Worthington Invitational on Saturday, April 6, with a unique family dynamic within the team.

Family Ties on the Fairway
Senior Brynn Gustafson and freshman Carly Gustafson, along with sisters Leslie Zarling and Lauren Zarling, will be key players in setting the scoring tempo for the Cardinals this season. Brynn Gustafson, who earned all-Big South Conference honors last year, will lead the team with her experience and skill on the course.

Building for the Future
With only one senior and no juniors on the team, the Fairmont girls golf program is focused on building for the future. Assistant coach Dylan Post, alongside head coach Brad Haugen, is excited about the potential of the young team and the opportunity to develop their skills throughout the season.

Strong Performances Ahead
Returning players Leslie Zarling, Katherine Zelaya, and Bel Lutterman, who all contributed to the team’s success last season, are expected to deliver strong performances on the course. With a mix of experienced players and newcomers, the Cardinals are looking to make their mark in conference and sectional competitions this year.

Excitement and Enthusiasm
The Fairmont girls golf team is filled with excitement and enthusiasm as they prepare to tee off the season. With a supportive coaching staff and a dedicated group of players, the Cardinals are ready to showcase their skills and compete at a high level in the upcoming tournaments.
