Family suspects man who was attacked outside West Hollywood nightclub was victim of hate crime

The family of Alberto Vasquez is seeking justice after the 53-year-old was brutally beaten outside a West Hollywood nightclub in what they believe was a hate crime. Vasquez, a talented hairstylist known for working with celebrity clients, was found unconscious in a parking lot next to the Heart Weho nightclub on April 5.

Vasquez suffered life-threatening injuries from the assault, requiring brain surgery and the removal of part of his skull due to brain swelling. His family was unaware of his condition until a nurse at Cedars Sinai Medical Center answered a call to his cell phone and informed them of the incident.

Despite undergoing extensive medical treatment, Vasquez faces a long road to recovery. His sister, Gloria Jimenez, believes the attack was a hate crime, citing the specific injuries he sustained around his eye socket.

The family and friends of Vasquez are still searching for answers and are urging anyone with information to come forward. They suspect that the assault was motivated by hate, as Vasquez was not robbed during the incident.
