The Molokai High School baseball team continues its dominant run in the Maui Interscholastic League, clinching their ninth consecutive league title with a 10-0 victory over Seabury Hall. The Farmers, led by pitcher David Lima-English, showcased their prowess on the field with a complete-game two-hitter performance.

Lima-English, who finished with seven strikeouts and one walk, expressed his happiness and confidence in his fastball and curveball during the game. Head coach Milton Loo, a former Molokai graduate and MLB draft pick, emphasized the importance of fundamental skills in the game, especially after a hiatus due to COVID-19.

Despite committing just one error, the Spartans were unable to match the offensive firepower of the Farmers. Molokai capitalized on their opportunities, scoring three runs in the first inning and adding seven more in the fifth inning to secure the victory.

Looking ahead, Molokai aims to maintain their momentum and focus on continuous improvement. With only one senior on their roster, the young Spartans are determined to bounce back and challenge for a state tournament berth.

Seabury Hall head coach Joe McFarlin acknowledged the strength of the Farmers and highlighted the need for his team to regroup and work on minimizing errors. As the two teams prepare for their final regular-season game, the stage is set for an intense matchup as both sides strive for success in the competitive league.
