Auger-Aliassime’s win marks his first victory over a top 20 player this season, while Jabeur’s victory is her first consecutive match wins of the season. Both players will now advance to the round of 16 in Madrid, with Auger-Aliassime set to face Jakub Mensik and Jabeur set to face Jelena Ostapenko.
