First Lady contributes textiles to assist women entrepreneurs in the APC

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, is making a significant impact through her Renewed Hope Initiative by donating fabrics in commercial quantities to support women in politics. The donation, made on her behalf by the wife of the Vice-President, Hajia Nana Shettima, took place at the APC national headquarters in Abuja and was attended by APC women leaders from across the States.

The fabrics were donated to boost the businesses of APC women in the textile industry, with Shettima emphasizing the importance of empowering women and fostering inclusive economic growth. The initiative aims to provide necessary resources, training, and support to help women expand their businesses and succeed in leadership roles.

Hajia Nana Shettima encouraged the women to be resilient and take advantage of the opportunities provided by the current administration. She stressed the importance of being fair and transparent in distributing the fabrics to ensure they reach the intended beneficiaries.

The National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, also emphasized the need for financial inclusiveness for women in politics to give them a rightful place in the polity. He urged the APC women leaders to be honest, transparent, and committed in distributing the fabrics to ensure they reach the target audience.

Dr. Mary Alile-Idele, APC National Women Leader, expressed gratitude to the First Lady for her dedication to the welfare of progressive women in Nigeria. She assured the delegation of the unwavering support of progressive women to the Tinubu/Shettima administration. The gesture highlights the commitment to empowering women and promoting their success in politics and business.
