Five fighters from BKFC KnuckleMania 4 have been handed potentially lengthy medical suspensions following their bouts on Saturday night. Heavyweights Lorenzo Hunt and Todd Duffee were among those who suffered first-round losses and are now facing 180-day suspensions unless cleared by a physician.
Hunt, who injured his left elbow, and Duffee, who hurt his left shoulder, both fell to their opponents and will need medical clearance before they can return to action. In addition to the heavyweights, three other fighters also received 180-day suspensions for potential injuries sustained during the event.
Jeremiah Riggs is dealing with possible fractures to his right knee and right hand fourth finger, Evgeny Kurdanov has a possible fracture to his left bicep, and Victor Rosas may have sustained a fracture to his left eye. All five fighters can return to action sooner if cleared by a physician.
BKFC KnuckleMania 4 took place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, with Mike Perry delivering a dominant performance over Thiago Alves in the main event. The event saw a number of fighters receive shorter suspensions for various injuries, with a complete list of medical suspensions released by the California State Athletic Commission.
The fighters will now focus on their recovery and rehabilitation as they aim to return to the ring as soon as possible.
