Helldivers 2, the popular squad shooter for PlayStation 5 and PC, has been experiencing some matchmaking issues that have left players frustrated. While developer Arrowhead Games is working on a fix, some players have found temporary solutions to get back into the action.
One workaround involves turning off Crossplay, as some players have reported success in finding matches after disabling this feature in their settings. Another method is to spam the Quick Play option until being able to join a lobby. Additionally, deploying an SOS beacon in-game and then quitting the match has also helped some players connect with others.
Despite these hacky workarounds, players are eager for a proper fix from the developers. In the meantime, solo players may find the game challenging on harder difficulty settings without the support of friends. While playing solo is manageable on Trivial and Easy modes, Medium and Challenging modes may require assistance, especially on Hard and Extreme difficulties.
As of March 2024, Helldivers 2 continues to attract a large player base, with over 265,000 players logging in each month. While the game’s matchmaking issues persist, fans are hopeful for a permanent solution to ensure seamless online gameplay.
