Florence Junior Trent McLain Named Northern Lakes Conference Player of the Year
In a stunning display of talent on the diamond, Florence junior Trent McLain has been named the Northern Lakes Conference Player of the Year. McLain’s exceptional performance throughout the season earned him this prestigious title, showcasing his skill and dedication to the sport.
Not only was McLain recognized as the Player of the Year, but he was also unanimously selected to the NLC All-Conference first team. Joining him on the first team was Bobcats’ senior William Kelley, who also received unanimous votes for his outstanding contributions to the team.
Additionally, Goodman/Pembine’s Ryan Ehlert was honored with a spot on the first team alongside McLain and Kelley, further highlighting the talent within the conference. Florence freshman Bradley Steber also received recognition with honorable mention honors for his impressive performance on the field.
The coaching staff was not overlooked in the awards ceremony, as Crandon’s Scott Farmer and Laona/Wabeno’s Frank Shepard were named Co-Coaches of the Year for their leadership and guidance throughout the season.
The Northern Lakes Conference awards were voted on by coaches within the conference, recognizing the top performers and contributors to the sport.
