Sean Kingston, the popular rapper known for hits like “Beautiful Girls,” found himself in hot water as he was arrested in California on Thursday in connection to a raid at his Florida mansion earlier in the day. The arrest was made without incident, and Kingston, whose real name is Kisean Anderson, is facing numerous fraud and theft charges.

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office and Davie Police SWAT team conducted a search at Kingston’s Southwest Ranches mansion, where his mother, Janice Turner, was also arrested on similar charges. The investigation began in the city of Dania Beach, leading to the arrests of both Kingston and his mother.

Kingston took to his Instagram stories to reassure his fans, stating, “People love negative energy! I am good and so is my mother!.. my lawyers are handling everything as we speak.” This incident comes as a shock to many, as Kingston has collaborated with big names in the music industry like Justin Bieber, Kanye West, and Nicki Minaj.

This is not the first time Kingston has faced a life-threatening situation. In 2011, he was involved in a near-fatal jet skiing accident in Miami, which resulted in a three-week hospital stay. Authorities later determined that Kingston did not understand basic boating safety protocols.

Representatives for Kingston have not yet responded to requests for comment. The investigation into the fraud and theft charges is ongoing, and more details are expected to emerge as the case unfolds. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
