Gontse Selaocoe, also known as Pantsula la Jam, has turned his passion for jam-making into a successful business venture. Five years ago, at the age of 19, he made a bold decision to sacrifice his savings for a pair of sneakers and instead invested in launching his All Day Jam business.
Operating out of a red container next to his grandmother’s tuck shop in Orange Farm, Selaocoe has created a thriving business with a range of unique jam flavors including yellow melon, peach, pear, and tomato. Drawing inspiration from his grandmother’s recipes and his childhood experiences in the garden, Selaocoe has found his true calling in entrepreneurship.
Despite facing doubts and skepticism due to his background as a pantsula dancer, Selaocoe has persevered and is determined to expand his business further. He envisions All Day Jam products being sold in retail stores, restaurants, hotels, and hospitals, with plans to have All Day Jam trucks on the road in the next five years.
With a passion for both jam-making and agriculture, Selaocoe is committed to growing his business and creating employment opportunities for others. His journey from a dancer to an entrepreneur is a testament to his resilience and determination to succeed in the face of challenges.
