R & R Ranch Creates Gentle Environment for Healing, Grounding, Growing

With the picturesque Mazatzal Mountains as a backdrop, R & R Ranch is a haven for healing and growth, thanks to owner Samantha Walker’s passion for horses and helping others. At the 10-acre ranch, Walker welcomes children and teens from various backgrounds, including those in foster care and with special needs, to experience the transformative power of equine therapy.

For Walker, horses have always been a source of solace and grounding in her own life. Now, she shares that gift with others, teaching them essential life skills through interactions with the gentle giants. By fostering a connection between humans and horses, Walker aims to help her guests build relationships, develop patience, and learn the value of communication.

Through the newly established non-profit organization at R & R Ranch, Walker is able to offer these life-changing experiences to children who may not have had the opportunity otherwise. With the support of volunteers and sponsors, she hopes to expand the program to reach even more individuals in need of healing and growth.

As the program continues to grow, Walker envisions hiring additional instructors and offering day camps to further impact the lives of both her clients at Samantha Walker Performance Horses and the participants at R & R Ranch. With a focus on empowerment and positive change, Walker’s dedication to her work shines through in every interaction with her students.
