Sheffield High School senior Emily Foster signed her commitment to continue her track and field career at Clarion University, under the guidance of head coach Ben Bevevino. Foster, a standout athlete who has excelled in high jump, expressed her excitement about the next chapter in her athletic journey.

Foster, who has been coached by Jason Snell and Amy O’Donnell at Sheffield, credits both coaches for their impact on her life. O’Donnell, in particular, has been a mentor and role model for Foster, filling a void as a mother figure in her life.

Despite missing out on the PIAA State Championships, Foster is looking forward to competing in the PSAC Championships under Bevevino’s guidance. She expressed gratitude for the support and guidance she has received from her coaches and family throughout her high school career.

Both Snell and O’Donnell have high praise for Foster, highlighting her resilience and determination in overcoming adversity. Foster’s success on the track, including winning the District 9 Championships in high jump and being a two-time Northern Tier League champion, is a testament to her hard work and dedication.

As Foster embarks on this new chapter in her athletic career, both her high school coaches and family are confident in her ability to excel at the collegiate level. With her commitment to improvement and positive attitude, Foster is poised for success at Clarion University.
