Warren Girls Basketball Team Shines with Four Region 5 All-Stars

The Warren girls basketball team is celebrating a successful season after four of their players were named Region 5 all-stars. Seniors Sammie Ruhlman and Halle Kuzminski, along with junior teammates Alana Stuart and Alyssa Farr, received this prestigious recognition after a standout performance on the court.

Ruhlman, who will be playing at Division II D’Youville, showcased her skills by averaging 10 points, 6.2 assists, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.3 steals. Kuzminski, committed to Penn State Altoona, contributed 9.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2.5 steals to the team’s success. Stuart and Farr also made significant contributions with their impressive stats throughout the season.

Warren coach Lisa LaVan expressed her pride in the team’s accomplishments, highlighting their hard work and dedication to the sport. She commended the players for their unselfish attitude and teamwork, emphasizing that their success was a result of their collective effort on the court.

The recognition of four Warren players as Region 5 all-stars is a testament to the team’s exceptional performance throughout the season. With a 22-6 record and their first-ever PIAA state playoff win, the Lady Dragons have proven themselves as a force to be reckoned with in high school basketball.
