Four Lafayette Parish schools will welcome new principals this year, announced by the Lafayette Parish School System. Layne Edelman, a Lafayette High School graduate, will take the helm at Lafayette High School. With a background in social studies and educational leadership, Edelman brings a wealth of experience from her time at Acadiana High School.
Jason St. Pierre, a Navy veteran with extensive experience in education, will lead Acadiana High School. His track record of success at Walker High School makes him a valuable addition to the district. Sherri Livesay, with a background in English Language Arts and instructional leadership, will be the new principal at David Thibodaux STEM Magnet Academy. Lastly, Catherine Cassidy, with over two decades of experience in the Lafayette Parish School System, will lead Ovey Comeaux High School.
